Every Break Counts.

For talent and programmers, while it may sound cliché, every break does count, and talent alone won’t win the big one – just ask the New England Patriots who once again lost in the final break minute to the New York Giants, despite all the talent and great coaching in New England.

Football coaches, players and analysts all say it’s a game of inches or we have to go out and play 60 minutes.  It’s true.  That theory is also applicable to media brands.

For broadcast talent, while the stakes for the 7:20 or 9:15 a.m. breaks aren’t as high as the Super Bowl, being unprepared and dropping the proverbial ball can be very costly.  Even when a solid relationship is in-tact with the audience, entertainers are only one bad break, hour or show away from losing listeners or viewers.

This is why we recommend our talent clients have the E3C Mentality.

Every Break, Every Hour, Every Show … Counts.

We know it’s impossible for every break to be an A+, perfection is elusive for football teams and radio and TV hosts, but preparing for every break and being ready to play all 60-minutes is within reach.

So, we’ll leave it at that because as we know you get it, but we will ask:

Are you fully prepared for every break on tomorrow’s show?  Will you play great in the third quarter and then fall apart at the end?  If so, you might feel like the Patriots do today.

When it’s ratings and winning time, the E3C mentality can’t be forgotten.
